Blackjacking Menaphite Thugs at level 65+ offers the fastest Thieving XP in the game at ~220K XP/hr. Extremely click-intensive but unmatched for speed. Alternative: Pyramid Plunder at 91+ for ~270K XP/hr.
Elves in Prifddinas at level 85+ earn ~1,800 GP per successful pickpocket. With Rogue Outfit doubling loot, expect 3,600 GP per action. Vyres offer similar GP with Blood Shard drops as a bonus.
Wealthy Citizens in Kourend are the closest to AFK Thieving. Low click intensity with decent GP and XP. Ardougne Knights with Dodgy Necklace also offer semi-AFK training with high success rates.
For minimal clicking, stall thieving at Fruit Stalls or Silk Stalls provides consistent XP without the risk of stuns. Wealthy Citizens are the best pickpocket option for low click intensity.
The Rocky pet is obtained through any Thieving activity. Higher-level methods provide more rolls per hour. Ardougne Knights and Elves give the most pet chances per hour due to high action rates.
Ironmen benefit enormously from Thieving for early GP. Master Farmers provide valuable seeds, Ardougne Knights generate consistent GP, and Elves provide crystal shards and enhanced crystal teleport seeds.

Start with Men/Women (8 XP each) until level 5, then switch to Cake Stalls or Tea Stalls (16 XP each). At level 20, Silk Stalls provide 24 XP with decent GP. Quick progression phase lasting ~1 hour.
Fruit Stalls at level 25 offer 28.5 XP with 100% success rate — no stuns. At level 38, Master Farmers unlock: lower success rate but excellent seed drops for Ironmen. At level 40, Guards become available as an alternative.
Ardougne Knights are the gold standard from 55 onwards. With Ardougne Diary and Dodgy Necklace, success rates reach ~90%. At level 65, Blackjacking unlocks for players wanting maximum XP/hr but requiring much higher attention.
Continue with Ardougne Knights for balanced training. Wealthy Citizens (Kourend) at level 75 offer a relaxed alternative with decent GP. At level 82, Vyres unlock with excellent GP and Blood Shard chances.
Pyramid Plunder at Floor 8 (level 91) gives the highest XP rates (~270K/hr). Alternatively, Elves at 85+ provide outstanding GP alongside competitive XP. Most players combine methods based on session goals.
Some players prefer stall thieving exclusively for zero-stun progression. Others focus on Master Farmers for the seed collection, or Vyres for the unique Blood Shard drop. The calculator supports all these paths.
Compare how equipment changes efficiency before calculating XP. The right gear combination dramatically improves both success rates and GP earned per hour.
Base success rates vary by NPC and your Thieving level. Ardougne Knights start at ~75% success at level 55, rising to ~95% at level 95. Higher levels naturally reduce stun frequency.
The Rogue Outfit doubles all pickpocket loot without affecting XP. Essential for any GP-focused training. Obtained from the Rogues' Den minigame. Full set: Hood, Top, Trousers, Boots, Gloves.
The Dodgy Necklace provides a 25% chance to avoid being stunned when failing a pickpocket. Effectively increases your success rate by reducing downtime from stuns. Lasts for 10 charges.
Medium Diary: 10% increased pickpocket success in Ardougne. Applies to Ardougne Knights, making them significantly more efficient. One of the most impactful diary rewards for Thieving.
Gloves of Silence increase pickpocketing success rate by 5%. Degrade after 62 charges. Stack with Ardougne Diary bonuses for maximum success rates.

Very similar XP rates. Elves give slightly higher consistent GP from pickpockets. Vyres offer the rare Blood Shard drop (~1/1,500) worth ~8M GP. Both excellent endgame methods.
Stalls: 100% success rate, no stuns, lower XP/hr. Pickpocketing: higher XP/hr, stuns reduce efficiency but gear mitigates this. Stalls are best for early levels; pickpocketing dominates mid-late game.
