Material Sourcing Guide

Grand Exchange (Fastest)

Buy planks directly from the GE. This is the fastest option. Buy limits: all planks have a buy limit of 13,000 every 4 hours. For large quantities, you may need to spread purchases across multiple sessions.

Sawmill Conversion

Buy logs and convert them at the Sawmill near Varrock, Prifddinas, or Woodcutting Guild. Costs: Regular 100 GP, Oak 250 GP, Teak 500 GP, Mahogany 1,500 GP per plank. Useful when plank prices are inflated.

Plank Make Spell (Magic 86+)

The Plank Make spell converts logs to planks for runes + GP. Costs vary but can be cheaper than GE planks during price spikes. You earn Magic XP too. Requires Lunar spellbook.

Ironman Material Gathering

Ironmen must gather logs themselves. Best sources: Teak trees at Ape Atoll or Fossil Island, Mahogany trees at Prif or Fossil Island. Kingdom of Miscellania produces teak/mahogany logs passively.
