Plan your Attack training from level 1 to 99 with this free OSRS Attack Calculator. See exactly how much XP you need, which weapons you'll unlock at each milestone, and how long your training will take. Attack determines your melee accuracy and unlocks progressively stronger weapon tiers — from Bronze at level 1 to the Ghrazi Rapier at level 75. or plan the whole grind with the OSRS construction calculator.
Whether you're a PvM player pushing for Abyssal Whip access, a PKer optimizing your pure, an Ironman planning Slayer training, or a main account on the road to 99 — this calculator provides training method comparisons, XP estimates, and weapon progression tracking.
The OSRS Attack Calculator is a specialized tool for planning your Attack skill progression. It calculates XP remaining, actions needed, training time, and tracks weapon unlock milestones as you level up. Attack is one of three melee combat skills and specifically determines your accuracy — how often your melee attacks land.
Unlike Strength (which determines max hit) or Defence (which determines damage reduction), Attack directly controls your hit chance and weapon tier access. Higher Attack means more consistent damage and access to better weapons.
Each Attack level increases your chance to hit targets with melee weapons.
Major weapon tiers unlock at levels 1, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 60, 70, and 75.
Higher accuracy means fewer misses, resulting in more consistent DPS.
Attack is essential for melee builds and contributes to combat level.
The melee triangle: Attack for accuracy, Strength for damage, Defence for survival.

From levels 1 to 40, you progress through the standard metal tiers — Bronze, Iron, Steel, Black, Mithril, Adamant, and Rune. The Rune Scimitar at level 40 is the first significant weapon upgrade that most players target early.
At level 60, Dragon weapons become available — including the Dragon Scimitar (requires completion of Monkey Madness I) and Dragon Longsword. These weapons are a substantial DPS increase over Rune tier.
The Abyssal Whip at level 70 Attack is one of the most iconic OSRS weapons. It offers excellent attack speed and accuracy, making it the go-to weapon for Slayer training and general PvM from level 70 to 75.
The Abyssal Tentacle combines the Whip with a Kraken Tentacle, adding poison damage and slightly higher stats. It degrades over time but is used by many PKers for its superior DPS.
Godswords from the God Wars Dungeon require 75 Attack. The Armadyl Godsword (AGS) is the premier PvP spec weapon, while the Bandos Godsword (BGS) and Saradomin Godsword (SGS) serve different PvM niches.
The Ghrazi Rapier at 75 Attack is the best-in-slot stab weapon, dropped by the Theatre of Blood. At level 80, the Inquisitor's Mace excels against crush-weak enemies. The Scythe of Vitur at 82 Attack is the most powerful melee weapon in the game for multi-tile enemies.

Waterfall Quest alone grants 13,750 Attack XP — enough to jump from level 1 to 30 instantly. Other quests like Fight Arena, Tree Gnome Village, and The Grand Tree also give significant Attack XP.
Sand Crabs and Ammonite Crabs offer AFK melee training with zero cost. They have high HP and low defence, making them ideal for leveling.
Training Attack through Slayer kills two birds with one stone — you gain Attack XP while progressing through Slayer tasks for unlocks and profit.
NMZ offers the highest AFK XP rates for Attack. Use Dharok's equipment for maximum efficiency at high levels.
The Accurate style gives full XP to Attack only. Use this when you specifically want to train Attack without gaining Strength or Defence XP.
Controlled splits XP equally between Attack, Strength, and Defence. Each hit gives 1.33 XP to each of the three skills. Use this for balanced melee training.
Train Attack when you need to unlock a specific weapon tier. For example, rushing to 60 for Dragon Scimitar or 70 for Abyssal Whip.
Controlled is efficient for main accounts who want all three melee stats to rise together, and it gives the same total combat XP per hit.
