Critical Milestones (Must-Have)

Levels 72, 75, 82, and 83 provide the upgrades that fundamentally change gameplay. The Ornate Pool alone saves hours of bank trips during PvM. The Jewellery Box eliminates the need for dozens of teleport items.

High-Priority Milestones

Level 84 (Occult Altar) and 92 (Crystalline Nexus) enhance an already-strong POH. Most players won't notice as dramatic a difference compared to the critical milestones, but they add significant convenience.

Standard Milestones

Level 50 (Portal Chamber) is useful for early game but becomes obsolete once you build the Nexus. Level 99 is a prestige goal — the Construction Cape provides unlimited POH teleport and a +1 invisible boost.

Boost Strategy — Reach Milestones Earlier

Crystal Saw (+3) and Spicy Stew (+5) combine for a +8 invisible boost. This means level 82 becomes reachable at level 74, and level 83 at level 75. The calculator accounts for boosts automatically.

Compare the Cost of Reaching Every Milestone

Milestone Cost Comparison (from Level 1)

GP COST BY MILESTONE (OAK LARDERS) 50: ~2M 72: ~9M 82: ~22M 99: ~65M TRAINING TIME BY MILESTONE (OAK LARDERS) ~3h ~16h ~38h ~72h BOOST SAVINGS — LEVELS SAVED Crystal Saw Only −3 Levels Stew Only −5 Levels Saw + Stew −8 Levels Max POH from Level 75!

Cheapest Path to Your Milestone

Mahogany Homes Expert contracts offer the lowest GP-per-XP ratio at ~3.2 GP/XP. For milestone planning, this means reaching level 82 costs ~14M GP instead of ~22M with Oak Larders. The trade-off is significantly slower XP rates.

Fastest Path to Your Milestone

Mahogany Tables at 900K XP/hour reach level 82 from level 1 in roughly 7 hours. The cost is much higher (~34M GP) but the time investment is dramatically lower. Ideal for players with GP to spare.

Boost-Optimized Planning

With Crystal Saw (+3) and Spicy Stew (+5), you reach milestones 8 levels early. Train to level 75, then boost to build everything at levels 82-83. This saves ~5M GP and ~15 hours of training time.

Ironman Milestone Strategy

Ironmen should prioritize Mahogany Homes for GP efficiency and target level 75 as the key milestone. With +8 boost, level 75 unlocks Ornate Pool (82) and Jewellery Box (83) — the two most impactful POH upgrades.

Construction Milestone Timeline

🏗️ Level 1 — Start Lvl 50 — Portal Chamber Lvl 72 — Portal Nexus Lvl 75 — Gilded Altar Lvl 82-84 — Max POH (boost) 🏆 Level 99 — Construction Cape

Phase 1: Basic Travel (Level 1→50)

Train with Crude Chairs → Oak Chairs → Oak Larders. Build your first Portal Chamber at level 50 for Varrock, Camelot, and Falador portals. Cost: ~2M GP, Time: ~3 hours.

Phase 2: Teleport Hub (Level 50→72)

Continue with Oak Larders until level 72. Build the Portal Nexus to replace all Portal Chambers. This is the biggest quality-of-life upgrade. Cost: ~7M GP additional, Time: ~13 hours.

Phase 3: Maximum POH (Level 72→75+boost)

Train to level 75 and use Crystal Saw + Spicy Stew to boost to 83. Build Ornate Pool, Jewellery Box, Gilded Altar, and Occult Altar in one session. Cost: ~4M GP additional.

Understand Construction Boost Mechanics

Crystal Saw (+3 Invisible Boost)

Obtained from the Eyes of Glouphrie quest. Provides a +3 invisible Construction boost that works only for building objects — not for removing them. Stacks with Spicy Stew. The saw has 28 charges and can be recharged at Brimstail's cave.

Spicy Stew (+1 to +5 Boost)

Orange spice stew from the Evil Dave subquest of Recipe for Disaster. Provides a random boost of +1 to +5 (or -1 to -5). Keep trying until you hit +5. Combine with Crystal Saw for +8 total. Drain rate: 1 level per minute.

Cup of Tea (+1 to +2 Boost)

Made in your Kitchen at level 20 Cooking. Provides +1 Construction boost (regular) or +2 (white lily tea). Cheaper to obtain than Spicy Stew but much lower boost.

Constructing With Boosts

Build your most level-demanding furniture first when using boosts, as the stew boost drains over time. Pre-gather all materials before sipping the stew. Optimal order: Ornate Pool → Jewellery Box → Occult Altar.

How the Milestone Calculator Works

Milestone Detection Engine

Compares your current level against OSRS Construction milestones and identifies the most impactful next unlock. Auto-mode selects the highest-priority milestone you haven't reached.

Boost-Aware Calculation

Accounts for Crystal Saw (+3) and Spicy Stew (+5) boosts. If your effective level already reaches the milestone, the calculator tells you to boost and build now instead of training further.

Training Cost Estimation

Calculates total XP gap, then applies your selected training method's XP-per-action, plank cost, and XP-per-hour rates to produce GP cost, plank count, and time estimates.

Priority Scoring

Each milestone has a priority score based on PvM impact, travel utility, and GP value saved. Critical milestones score 5/5, while standard milestones score 3/5.

Roadmap Generation

After showing your current milestone target, identifies the next milestone after that — giving you a two-step plan for continuous improvement.
